Come hear some interesting Mississippi paleontology, geology and archaeology and a tour of the shack.
See all of the things that can be found in our state.

🎉🪶When your birthday girl( who loves The Artifact Shack and cant get enough of the fossils, gems, and artifacts), says she wants her party at The Artifact Shack….I say COME ON!😃

From fossil hunts to flashlight adventures, she and her friends had an unforgettable time uncovering fossils, arrowheads, and all kinds of Mississippi history on the most fun, hands-on way possible! 🪨🦴🔦
They even got to take some of their finds home!!🙌🙌

Recent finds only about a hundred yards apart. Two matates, aka grinding stones, aka mortar stones, aka prehistoric food processors. Each one also had nutting holes for cracking nuts.

Saturday April 26th from ten until four we will have our annual artifact, rock and fossil hunt. Also atlatl spear throwing contest and exhibitors showing artifacts and fossils. The photos show a sampling of what can be seen. Fun and learning for all ages.
