Whatcom Art Market Fall Artist Jury

Oct 26, 5:00-6:30PM, Whatcom Art Center

Would you like to have the opportunity to be in the Whatcom Art Market?

The next jury is on Monday, October 26th from 5:00 – 6:30 pm at the Whatcom Art Center. Please bring in 5 pieces of your art that best represent you as an artist. We only jury twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. Our curation team will take 5 minutes to talk with you and look at your art. We will inform you within a few week if you have been selected to be on our waitlist. Spots in the gallery can open anytime during the year but normal we see a larger amount in the spring. When there is an opening the curation team looks at the waitlist and selects an artist.

If you need any more information, please contact me (Carrie Trax) at [email protected]

☆You must be a Whatcom Art Guild member to jury into the Art Market☆

* The first week will do the initial collage creation using papers and textures
* The second week will finish with paint and other embellishments to create depth.

Visit the whatcomartcenter.org website for more information and registration.

This is going to be a fun class! 😀

☆Candice Christie is a collage mixed media artist who has had gallery representation since 1996. Her journey as an artist started in watercolor but moved to acrylic to get more intensity in color. Soon she was adding papers and other media to her work. Candice has been gel printing for over 15 years to create her original papers to use in her collage work. She currently shows her work at the Whatcom Art Market, in LaConner at the MONA gift store, and in several galleries in Alaska.
