yes, labor-intensive; yes, repetitive; yes, action; yes, meaningless; yes, urgent; yes, unsellable; yes, funny; yes, heavy; yes, time-consuming; yes, ugly; yes, gorgeous; yes, macabre; yes, weird; yes, found materials; yes, nature; yes, bodily; yes, communal; yes, solitary; yes, unpractical; yes, subversive; yes, playful; yes, boring; yes, frivolous; yes, yearning; yes, nothing; yes, absurd

The title stems from the term “tactical absurdity,” coined by the artist and writer Dave Ball. This show reflects how we each embrace and revel in the absurdity of making art, and, at times, utilize absurdity and related substrates as mediums.
