slip trailing hundreds of dots on a mug is equal parts love, equal parts “why did I do this to myself” 😅 I have carpal tunnel, so intricate detail work like this is genuinely a labor of love, sometimes my hands are absolutely screaming at me and completely numb by the end. but then it comes out of the kiln and I can’t even be mad.

and when the customer who bought this mug told me she would cherish it? yeah. that’s it. that’s the whole reason I do this. every single dot was worth it. 🫶🏼

Starting a new little series called Pottery in the Wild 🏺✨

Found these handmade mugs hiding at Goodwill and immediately had to stop and inspect every detail. The glaze combos, the fingerprints, the little imperfections… I always wonder who made them and where they are now. One of these mugs was older than me!

As a potter, finding handmade ceramics out in the world feels weirdly emotional in the best way. Someone sat at a wheel or hand built these piece by piece and now they’re just out here living a second life. It is sad to see them sold for only a dollar or two though.

Honestly kind of inspiring and humbling at the same time 🫶

Reviews like these genuinely make me melt 🥹

As someone who’s still pretty new to selling on Etsy, there’s always that little anxiety after shipping an order out. You wonder if it’ll arrive safely, if it’ll look as good in person as it did in the photos, and if the buyer will love it as much as you hoped they would.

Getting feedback like this is such a huge relief and honestly means the world to me. Thank you so much for supporting my little pottery business 💛

My inventory is getting pretty low while I prep for Greenwood Pride, but there are still a few pieces left on my Etsy linked in my bio!

skipped the test tiles, said a little prayer to the kiln gods, and ended up with THIS 🍓🍋 strawberry lemonade glazed vase + matching mugs made for my mother and father in law and honestly one of my favorite things i’ve ever made

Clay is fun. Silica dust is not 😅

Trying to be way more intentional about how I clean the studio because long term exposure to silica dust can seriously damage your lungs. Wet cleaning, HEPA vacuums, and avoiding dry sweeping make a huge difference.

Pottery is already messy enough without adding preventable health issues into the mix 🫶

This mug is so Shrek-y and I am HERE for it! 🟢 Loving this chartreuse color fading into pink, then surprising you with blue and green on the inside. Super vibrant. Super fun. Super whimsical.

It’s also nice and big, 16 oz fits all the coffee, water, tea, etc. of your choosing! ☕🍵

This is officially mug #5 of my 100 mug challenge and it’s live on Etsy now! Link to the listing in the comments! 🔗
