I’m excited to be back in Flagstaff gearing up to lead another trip through the Grand Canyon with Michael Frye, Visionary Wild participants, and our excellent team of guides at AZRA. We’ll be camping, photographing, and fully immersing ourselves in the epic grandeur of the canyon for the next twelve days. As always I look forward to emerging with new friends, experiences and perspectives.

Join us at White Sands National Park for an unforgettable Vision Series workshop designed to push your creativity far beyond the ordinary.

Led by acclaimed photographers Jerry Dodrill and Todd Pickering, this immersive experience is all about seeing differently, moving beyond “scenic” and into powerful, story-driven imagery.

Through eight field sessions, critiques, and deep-dive creative sessions, you’ll learn to:

• Master exposure, sharpness & focus stacking

• Capture and blend panoramas & multiple exposures

• Elevate your digital workflow in Lightroom & Photoshop

With early access permits, we’ll be in position before sunrise, capturing the dunes as they glow with first light, when the landscape is at its most magical.

"Just got back from the Death Valley workshop with Bill Neill and Jerry Dodrill. In short, the trip was fabulous! Teaming Bill and Jerry, who have very different styles but compliment each other beautifully in terms of running the workshop, was a real plus. I especially appreciated their flexibility in adapting to changing weather conditions to give all of us the best chance at some really great opportunities. I loved that fact that it was really a “workshop”, rather than a “tour”. Both Bill and Jerry were always available for help in the field, and the image critiques were honest and helpful." - S. Last night we had just a few minutes of light from Tunnel view in Yosemite when the setting sun cracked through the clouds. It was brief but beautiful and for the couple dozen folks who were able to be there during the park “closure” it was a rewarding experience. This morning the flood gates opened and literally hundreds of photographers crowded together to shoot the sunrise from there. It was insane. We took one look, turned around, and found an uncrowded location.
