This month's Art in the Atrium features local artist Kara Tripp Kara Tripp Artist !

In Kara's words: "My shift to painting solely with a palette-knife was born out frustration. The widening gap between my art "vision" and my art "reality" compelled me to re-think my process. The knife approach liberated me from my fixation with minuscule details and ultimately, resulted in the impressionistic style of my current work. As a native Montanan, my favorite subjects include bison, foxes, and sandhill cranes."

A portion of each art sale supports the library through the Bozeman Library Friends and Foundation. Interested artists are encouraged to apply online for a future Art in the Atrium installation!

ELLEN theater art auction ends tomorrow!
This original work by celebrated artist Kara Tripp was donated to The Ellen by longtime usher Mimi Welsh. Mimi, one of our favorites who always greeted patrons with a smile, bequeathed the painting to the theatre upon her passing. The memory of Mimi’s friendly smile continues to uplift spirits at The Ellen thanks to this most generous gift. We miss you, Mimi.
