Learn about the history of fabric dyes like indigo and cochineal, and how they tie to the American War for Independence. We're hand-sewing a special American Flag for the Coggeshall Farm Museum float in Bristol's 4th of July parade! Crafted from a linen backing and red, white, and blue wool, this flag will be a striking addition to our float, showcasing the process of transforming fiber into a flag.

Join us on June 6 for our next Adult Program Series class at Coggeshall Farm! Silvermoon LaRose of the Tomaquag Museum will lead a demonstration and discussion on the art and history of corn husk weaving.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn traditional corn husk weaving techniques and discover how a commonly discarded material can be transformed into something beautiful and purposeful. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required.
