It is with great sadness that Linden Place shares the passing of Joan Roth, a cherished and devoted member of our community.

Joan was a founding member of the Friends of Linden Place, formed in 1989 to purchase and preserve this historic mansion. Her dedication over the years was extraordinary, serving as a tour guide, unofficial historian, president, and member of the board of directors.

Joan also pursued singing in private study, and was fortunate to learn from Ethel Barrymore C**t, further deepening her appreciation for the arts and history. She had a special gift for bringing that passion to life, whether conducting tours at Linden Place or guiding Bristol bus tours, where she shared her deep knowledge and love of the community with countless visitors.

We are deeply grateful for all she gave and will miss her greatly.

Michael DiMucci signed one of our new roof slates, officially joining our campaign to restore our historic slate and copper roofs! 🎶✨

Even better, guests from his wonderful Mother’s Day show added their signatures too. These slates will soon be part of the new roof, carrying a little music, a little love, and a whole lot of community spirit. 🏛️💛

We’re already 70% of the way to our $1.1 million goal thanks to generous supporters who believe in preserving Linden Place.
