June just strutted into Butte like, “Hope you’re ready, folks,” and honestly… Jeanette and Kehli absolutely are.

The two of them have already been buzzing around comparing calendars, swapping “did you hear about this one?” messages, and trying to pretend they’re not about to overcommit to 14 events in the first week alone. Classic June energy.

Between Uptown happenings, museum mischief, and all the warm‑weather chaos Butte cooks up the minute the sun sticks around past 8, they’re basically your unofficial summer hype squad. And yes — they’re already laughing about how wild this month is going to get.

June in Butte doesn’t tiptoe in. It kicks the door open.

And these two? They’re holding it wide.

Hell Roarin' Happenings is an all-volunteer immersive history community theater production that tells the *mostly true story of Butte people, places and events of our past.

We are seeking folks from all walks of life, all ages and experience levels to help us bring Butte history to life this summer at the World Museum of Mining in Butte. This is a fundraiser put on by the Friends of the World Museum of Mining and the World Museum of Mining, a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the rich historical legacy of mining and the related culture of Butte, Montana and the surrounding region.

No theater experience necessary! Don't want any lines? No problem! All we ask is that you come prepared to have fun and help us share the stories of a little place called Butte, Montana - the greatest mining camp in the world, built on the richest hill on earth.

We also have a variety of positions available for volunteers interested in helping with costumes, props, sets and tech.

Comment, DM or email [email protected] for more information about any of the roles, other volunteer options or questions 🌻

Mining is never just technical. It's never only economic.

It reshapes towns, families, generations - because geology dictates where resources exist, and human lives form around that reality.

The doesn't just preserve artifacts. We preserve memory. We hold the space between what was extracted and what was lived.

And Butte? Butte didn't fade away. It adapted. It absorbed. It remains.

Every building in Hell Roarin' Gulch, every worn floorboard and weathered doorway carries the weight of the people who lived this history. Join us for a tour in our latest "Drifts & Tales" episode.
