Have you ever watched pelicans dive in person? 🌊

There’s something incredible about the precision of nature.
I captured this pelican at the exact moment it broke the surface of the water during a high-speed dive for its next meal. One split second earlier or later, and the moment was gone. Watching these birds hunt along the coast is always amazing… powerful, graceful, and perfectly timed.
Nature has a way of reminding us that even chaos can look beautiful when frozen in a single moment.

Have you ever stood in a place so beautiful that it almost didn’t feel real?
This is Lake Convict along Highway 395 in California during fall color season. The rugged mountains, the crisp alpine air, and those hints of golden autumn color tucked beneath the peaks made this scene unforgettable. I loved the contrast between the harsh texture of the mountains and the quiet calm of the lake.
Sometimes nature doesn’t need dramatic sunsets to leave you speechless… just the right moment and the right place.

“Have you ever stood somewhere so quiet that it felt like the world slowed down for a moment?” 🌅
This was Mitchell’s Cove in Santa Cruz just before sunrise… no crowds, no noise, just the sound of the gentle waves rolling onto the shore and the first light beginning to wake up the coastline.
Moments like this remind me why I love photographing the California coast. There’s a peacefulness here that’s hard to put into words… but easy to feel.
