AnySquared Arts is a nonprofit 501c3 collaborative & artistic network. Propelled by a deep sense of cooperation with artists, neighbors and the wider community, our mission is to support, produce and promote collaborative projects that arts activities through inclusive participation. Our foundation is built upon the idea that we can do anything as long as we do it together. AnySquared is a people

-powered collective providing space and mentorship for artists to begin, continue, and further their skills and develop projects. Our collaborative practice is deeply rooted in skillshare and mutual aid. We provide opportunities to artists and community members through a wide variety of exhibitions, screenings, markets, murals, and festivals. The desired outcome of the project is to develop artistic skills in addition to community impact. AnySquared has met for "Studio Day Wednesdays" almost every Wednesday for the last 12 years. We make relationships and art together, engage in discussions, and plan events. AnySquared has coordinated many visual art exhibits that regularly featured artwork from local artists and community members looking to become more active in the arts. For AnySquared, our cultural labor is our wealth. We've created sizeable visual art productions on a minuscule budget because we are willing to make every project happen with our labor. We function through our volunteers, in-kind donations, and other self-sustaining efforts. AnySquared believes in transparent administration, so we make sure to share all of our expertise and resources with our collaborators. Artists who work with AnySquared get to work on some fun projects and pick up marketing, fundraising, production, and strategic planning skills.

Our closing event on May 16th was an amazing afternoon of artist interviews, readings, and music!

We were so happy to share the last moments of the “Butterfly Effect: Cross Land, Generations, and Time” exhibit together!

The Butterfly Effect Project (BEP) celebrates the unity of immigration and migration stories. In a time where communities are pulled towards division, BEP aims to unearth the roots that connect us all. Creating an interdisciplinary experience that will weave together a series of unique personal histories and stories to create a tapestry showcasing the shared way humans move and adapt all over the world, recognizing and respecting that our work exists on indigenous land.

Join us on Friday, May 8th as offers a mixed media workshop: "POETAS v. COLLAGISTAS"!

*POETSv.COLLAGISTS translated*

A workshop intended to explore the intersectional dynamics between poetry and collage.

All levels of writers, readers, collagists, and artists are welcome!
The session will explore the idea of a "SPIRAL," how it translates into a pattern, the way it translates into an actual story and what it means to follow that story. Come experiment with poetry and collage as means of joy, imagination, resilience and healing.
This is a guided workshop intended to inspire folks to grow and create alongside each other! If you want to loosely follow the guidelines, please feel free to come by anyway and share the space with us!

S/O to co-facilitator & co-founder Chrissy who will welcome artists, collagists, aspiring poets & comrades alike!

We will provide materials! Free! We ask to feel welcomed & comfortable & ready to create!
