Clear Lake Historical Association Clear Lake Historical Association has information and photos of the history of Clear Lake, Washington. Open most Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to noon, and by appointment.

Contact our Historian, Deanna Ammons, at 360.856.6798. We meet Quarterly, 7 pm, the fourth Tuesday of January, April, July and October. Our mission is to gather historical information, photos and artifacts preserve the unique cultural and historical fabric of Clear Lake. We offer education opportunities through events and presentations. Our meetings are at the former IOOF Hall, where we also store and display our collection.

If you have History Channel, Season 5, episode 4 “Hunted” has a story (the 3rd of 5) STARRING our homestead cabin! Filming happened last August. I was able to watch it last night. Glad they got some cool footage of our cabin, before some of the changes we made 😊 ~ Sylvia Matterand

Clear Lake Lumber Company became the largest INLAND lumber and shingle mill in the Pacific Northwest during its heyday of the early 1920s.
The president of the company, B. R. Lewis, filed bankruptcy papers in August, 1925, one hundred years ago.
