Bring Your Children to The Collection on Palmetto

At the Collection on Palmetto, we believe that understanding the history of automobiles and the Industrial
Age is critical for young people today. These eras shaped our modern world, from how we make things to how we travel. By preserving artifacts like our automobiles and engines, the music boxes and the toy exhibit that was just installed in our library, we are educating students, and hopefully inspiring innovation.

Our goal is to help children learn where we’ve come from and imagine where we can go in the future.

Contact us today to have your school schedule a field trip.

We’ve been called Clearwater’s Best Kept Secret. But this is one secret you can share!
The Collection on Palmetto is a private collection of antique automobiles ranging from our 1886 Benz Motor Wagon to our 2014 Lamborghini Aventador. You can watch a demonstration of our antique steam and gas engines on the veranda, and our 1/8 scale locomotive has enough cars to transport a field trip of children on our 1500’ of track around the property. But don’t be fooled. Adults love the train, too.
Are you having an event like a wedding or holiday party? Give us a call to plan your special get-together. We’ll make it an event to remember.
We’re open to the public every Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am – 3:00pm. The train operates every Tuesday and Saturday. Hope to see you soon!

So, you’re having a special event. A wedding, holiday party, milestone birthday party, or whatever is special to you. Where are you going to have it? Some typical hotel or ballroom where YOU have to bring in every decoration and figure out how to make the room look stunning? Or maybe you found a super cool venue, but you have to pay an arm and a leg to rent every table, chair, and tablecloth.
Now, imagine having your special event at a venue unlike any other. You and your guests drive through the gates into a lush landscape of flowers and weeping willow trees that surround Turtle Lake. As you approach the building, you can’t help but notice the antique steam and gas-powered engines expertly displayed on the veranda.
You stroll through the glass doors and are transported back into the Industrial Age. We greet you with a 1928 Eren’s Fox fire engine and a 1918 steam powered popcorn popper designed and built by Charles Cretors himself. As you walk further into the room, you are awed by the beauty and wonder of 30 antique automobiles, displayed fashions of the time, and even a 1/3 scale model of the first commercial airplane.
All you have to do is enjoy!
Give us a call at 727-953-3856. We’ll make your event one to remember for a lifetime.

Guess who paid us a visit at The Collection on Palmetto. Jay Leno, himself! He visited for almost two hours, shook hands with everyone, and even gave a tour to some lucky patrons.

If it's good enough for Jay, it's good enough for you.

We had a fabulous day on Sunday honoring our donors, volunteers and everyone who has hosted an event at The Collection on Palmetto. The Annual Spring Patron Garden Party is the place to be. Make sure you get your invitation next year.

The Collection on Palmetto has often been called Clearwater's Best Kept Secret. People walk in the door all the time and say "WOW" followed by "I never knew you were here." Help us spread the word by coming for a visit and bringing your friends. Suggest a field trip to your children's teachers, or consider hosting an event in our beautiful venue.

We welcome you every Tuesday through Saturday between 10am and 3pm. See you soon!
