We are upcycling sustainably-sourced clothing using a variety of natural dyes, as well as some unique dyeing techniques like shibori. Here is a sneak peek at what we’ve been working on! 😁

Something New is Growing at Praxis💙

For nearly a decade, we’ve dreamed of creating a place where people could experience the entire journey of sustainable textiles from the field to the finished cloth.

On September 4, during Walk All Over Waterloo, we’re excited to open Crop to Cloth, the newest addition to the Praxis campus.

More than a retail store, Crop to Cloth is a destination for fiber lovers, makers, and the simply curious.

Every product reflects the values that guide our work:

Natural Fibers
Every piece begins with beautiful natural fibers from fabrics sold by the yard to yarns, garments, scarves, towels, and more.

Thoughtfully Sourced
We partner with local artists, regional producers, and ethical makers whenever possible, creating a marketplace that supports a stronger, more sustainable fiber community.

Naturally Dyed
Many of our products are intentionally left undyed, inviting you to transform them through natural color. Take a class, join a community dye day, or experience the magic of our Indigo Studio just steps away.

Crop to Cloth is an extension of the Praxis mission, connecting agriculture, art, sustainability, and community through the story of fiber.

We can’t wait to share this next chapter with you.
