Featured in Cowboys & Indians Magazine!

The Dude Ranchers' Association is marking 100 years of preserving the spirit of the American West, and Cowboys & Indians magazine is spotlighting this remarkable milestone in its June/July 2026 issue.

The feature highlights the DRA’s commemorative book project, “100 Years of Dude Ranching: Celebrating the Centennial of the Dude Ranchers’ Association,” featuring the striking photography of acclaimed Western photographer Scott T. Baxter.

Over the course of the multiyear project, Baxter and his team traveled thousands of miles documenting the landscapes, traditions, hospitality, and everyday moments that continue to define dude ranching across the West.

Beginning June 4 through September 27, visitors to the Dude Ranch Museum will also have the opportunity to experience Baxter’s stunning photography through “The Wrangle” exhibit.

As the DRA reflects on a century of dude ranching, this feature serves as a tribute to the ranchers, wranglers, photographers, historians, and storytellers helping preserve this enduring piece of American history. 🐴🌄

Join us for the grand opening of “The Wrangle: 100 Years of Dude Ranching,” a breathtaking photography exhibit by Scott T. Baxter, at the Dude Ranch Museum in downtown Cody on June 4 from 4–6 p.m.

In celebration of The Dude Ranchers' Association's 100th anniversary, photographer Scott T. Baxter traveled more than 20,000 miles across the American West, capturing the landscapes, people, and enduring traditions that helped shape the industry from its earliest days. Produced by the Ranch Preservation Foundation, “The Wrangle” features imagery from dude ranches that have operated for a century or longer and continue to carry this legacy forward.

Celebrating Armed Forces Day!

Today, we extend our sincere gratitude to all military service members and their families for their dedication, sacrifice, and service to our nation.

The Dude Ranch Foundation is proud to once again participate in the Blue Star Museums program! This nationwide initiative provides free museum admission to active-duty military personnel and their families throughout the summer.

Through Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026, military families are invited to experience the rich history and heritage of dude ranching in the American West through the Dude Ranch Foundation Museum.

Created in 2009, the Blue Star Museums program is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the U.S. Department of War, and museums across America, offering free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserve members.
