In the spirit of giving back the museum will be doing a community initiative for each exhibition starting with this one The Power of Love ❤️

In the exhibition we showcase all formed of love from agape to storage. But we don’t particularly mention love for those who have passed away therefore next Saturday at 8am we will be volunteering our time to help clean up Lincoln Memorial a historic cemetery in the city.

Come help mow the lawn, rack leaves, and empty trash with the help of providing the equipment and power tools.

This cemetary is all volunteer ran and has had multiple break ins and has been vandalized on numerous occasions. Let’s help show those who we love dearly rest well.

The Compton Art and History Museum presents “We Are The Land: Stories From The Street and Soil”

This is an environmental exhibition that explores the legacy of environmental stewardship in Compton and surrounding communities. Through a blend of contemporary artistic expression, local history, and community memory, we invite local artists to submit their work that aligns to what environmentalism looks like in places too often excluded from mainstream narratives of conservation and sustainability.

We are accepting a wide range of art mediums to painting, photography, digital, sculpture, and more!
