2026 HEART FOR KIDS AWARD RECIPIENTS

Consuelo Evans, Nancy Rojas, and Wanda Gregory-Mobley to be Honored at Red-Tie Event

LONG BEACH, CA (April 30, 2026) – Agape Children’s Museum announced today
the 2026 recipients of their Heart For Kids Award, honoring an individual(s) and
corporation or foundation, for:
•Strengthening children’s love for learning through the arts, literacy, and health;
•Helping to make additional and better play possible for Southbay area children;
•Demonstrating a commitment to learning through arts, literacy, and health;
•Making outstanding contributions of time and/or investment to enrich the lives
of children;
•Making outstanding contributions to strengthen and advance the mission and outreaches of Agape Children’s Museum.

This year’s recipient of the Heart For Kids Community Individual Award is Hub City Autism Network Founder Consuelo Evans, for her years of dedication, commitment, and service to the children and families of our South Bay communities. Consuelo began her association with Agape Children’s Museum through the museum's Annual Holiday Toy Drive. Through her organization, HUBCAN (Hub City Autism Network), she has created meaningful pathways for children on the autism spectrum and their families to feel supported, included, and fully integrated into their communities.

We proudly present the 2026 Heart For Kids Corporate Award to Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, Long Beach Child and Adolescent Program Specialist Nancy Rojas, in recognition of her unwavering commitment to supporting children with mental health needs and their families in our community. Nancy has been a consistent supporter and contributor of our Annual Family Health Festivals, which has significantly enhanced and impacted ACM’s Community Festival programming.

The Museum is proud to honor longtime Long Beach resident and community activist Wanda Gregory-Mobley with the Lifetime Community Achievement Award. This recognition celebrates her lifelong dedication, outstanding service, and significant contributions to the mission of Agape Children’s Museum, as well as her lasting impact on the youth of our community.

The Kids at Heart Awards presentation will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 6:00 pm at the Museum’s Red Party Reception in the Katie Phillips Gallery at the Expo Arts Center, 4321 Atlantic Ave in Long Beach, benefiting the Museum’s art, literacy, and health programs. Agape Children’s Museum Presents: Art is Education Festival 2026
It’s that time of year again when Agape Children’s Museum proudly presents our 11th Annual Art is Education Festival. Join us for an unforgettable experience that brings families and communities together through the power of cultural awareness, art, and learning.
This year, Agape is celebrating the Museum's 15th Anniversary and will feature the art, music, and traditions of our community cultures. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a variety of interactive activities designed to challenge and expand their creative skills.
In collaboration with local schools, school districts, libraries, and community arts organizations, Agape will be hosting exhibitions, performances, and public events. Come and see the tremendous and creative works of art created by the youth of our community.

El Museo Infantil Agape celebrará su evento anual del Día del Niño el sábado 31 de enero, de 11:00 a 15:00 horas, en el Centro Educativo Ability First, ubicado en 3770 E. Willow Street, en Long Beach, California. Este evento comunitario gratuito invita a familias y miembros de la comunidad a disfrutar de actividades interactivas y entretenimiento diseñados para celebrar e inspirar a los niños.
El Día del Niño fomenta el respeto, fortalece la comunidad y celebra la diversidad, educando a los niños sobre su propia herencia y las culturas de otros. The Agape Children’s Museum will host their annual Children’s Day Celebration on Saturday, January 31st, from 11 AM to 3 PM at the Ability First Educational Center, 3770 E. Willow Street in Long Beach, California. The free community event invites families and community members to enjoy hands-on activities and entertainment designed to celebrate and inspire children.
The Children's Day Celebration fosters respect, builds community, and celebrates diversity by educating children about their own heritage and the cultures of others. It provides a platform for children to develop cultural awareness, empathy, and self-confidence through fun, interactive activities, such as learning traditional dances, music, food, and the arts. This kind of event helps strengthen children's identity and appreciation for different perspectives, preparing them to be more open-minded and engaged citizens. Agape Children’s Museum and Agape Cares' 11th Annual Holiday Toy Drive for Children with autism is being extended through December 18, 2025. During December, we are collecting new, unwrapped toys to distribute to deserving families with children on the autism spectrum.
You can participate by placing your unwrapped toy donation in the collection box at your local participating Chase Bank in the Long Beach/Lakewood area.
Agape Children’s Museum and Agape Cares greatly appreciate your support. By donating a toy, you can help bring joy and happiness to children with autism this holiday season.

The 9th Annual Family Health Festival is a free, community-focused event designed to empower residents of Long Beach and surrounding areas with comprehensive health resources and wellness opportunities. This exciting event will be open to the public to the residents of Long Beach and the surrounding communities. The Family Health Festival’s mission is to promote health awareness by collaborating with local health and wellness providers and specialists and motivating attendees to make positive health behavior changes. Some featured activities include free screenings, demonstrations, dedicated women, men, children, seniors and information pavilions, surrounded by music and healthy food vendors. Annually, over 20 exhibitors and over 300 attendees from all walks of life attend this community event.
Bring your family, bring your friends, bring your curiosity! This isn’t just an event—it’s your launchpad to a healthier, more vibrant life.
