Thank you to those of you who were able to join us for our History & Haunts Volunteer Interest Meeting last night! 👻🏛️

If you were unable to attend, there is still time to join in the fun this October.

We are continuing to fill our volunteer schedule for History & Haunts 2026 and still have a few opportunities available on:

* Saturday, October 3
* Saturday, October 17
* Saturday, October 24

Tours are held at 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM.

There are several ways to get involved, including hosting or guiding tours, welcoming and checking in guests, assisting with the History Visitor’s Center, and serving as backup support when needed.

You do not have to have attended the meeting to participate. We’ll make sure you have the information and support you need before your volunteer date.

Interested in joining us? Send Historic Cabarrus a message to [email protected] to claim an available date.

Come help us bring the stories, history, and legends of Cabarrus County to life this October!

Preservation. Education. Appreciation.

History & Haunts is coming back this October, and we need volunteers to help bring it to life.

Join us for a volunteer interest meeting on September 16 at 6:30 PM in the Historic Cabarrus Courthouse Room. We’re looking for help welcoming guests, guiding visitors, hosting, and helping set the scene throughout October.

No experience is necessary, and you do not have to volunteer every weekend.

Interested? Comment below, send us a message, or email [email protected].

Today was a big day for the Historic Cabarrus Association!

We officially soft launched our new Historic Visitors Center and were thrilled to be joined by nearly 70 community members for the occasion.

Located in the historic Cabarrus County Courthouse, the Visitors Center will be open to the public and serve as a destination for residents and visitors alike to experience Cabarrus County’s rich history firsthand.

We’re incredibly excited about what this space will mean for our community and look forward to welcoming everyone through its doors!
