In honor of Juneteenth, the Coronado Historical Association is proudly flying the Juneteenth flag at the museum today. Juneteenth marks a vital milestone in our nation’s history. Today we fly this flag to honor the enduring legacy, contributions, and rich history of Coronado's African American community. From the pioneering families who helped shape our early city to the residents and leaders of today, Black history is deeply woven into the fabric of the Crown City. We invite you to join us in reflecting, learning, and celebrating freedom and community today and every day.
