HSSC is a non profit, 501c3 organization dedicated to preserving the history of Cotuit.

Founded in 1955, the grounds of the Historical Society of Santuit and Cotuit hold the Dottridge Homestead, the Museum and attached Fire Museum, an archive room, a gift shop, the Ice House and Historical Kitchen Gardens. The buildings are open weekends from Memorial Day through Columbus Day, Thanksgiving weekend and during Christmas in Cotuit, the first weekend in December. The archives are available for research, and the Homestead and museums are available for private tours by appointment.

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a chance to win a one-of-a-kind rag runner inspired by the thrift, ingenuity and handiwork of our colonial forefathers!

Crafted by Jody Coluccini using a technique reminiscent of those used in early American homes (with a little help from some of our enthusiastic Dottridge Homestead visitors) this charming runner is truly a piece of handmade history.

Measuring approximately 26" x 60", it features a non-slip backing and can be machine or hand washed, making it as practical as it is pretty.

To all the good sports who braved the torrential downpour to join us at this year's Taste—thank you!

While Mother Nature didn't quite get the memo, your enthusiasm, generosity, and good spirits shone brighter than the sun ever could. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, the evening was filled with laughter, friendship, incredible food, and a conviviality that simply couldn't be dampened.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who came out to support the Historical Society of Santuit & Cotuit and helped make this year's Taste another memorable success.
