The Liberty Tree was presented to the Cudahy Historical Society today in honor of the 250th Anniversary of America and the dedication of the historical society to preserve history. A special thank you to The Sons of the American Revolution. Their goal was to plant 250 Liberty Trees this year across the nation which has been surpassed.
Thank you to our State Assembly representative, Chris Sinicki for her patriotic response during the dedication ceremony and to our guests, including the Daughters of the American Revolution, for attending. All are welcome to view the tree in our park north of the depot.

The Cudahy Historical Society has developed an annual Educational Scholarship to be awarded to a graduating High School Senior from our community. The scholarship is in honor of the founding members of the Cudahy Historical Society whose mission was educational.
Our first scholarship was awarded to Sharmaine Cruz on Monday, May 18th at the Cudahy High school Senior Recognition Night. It was presented by Kathy Lorum, the daughter of Tom and Joan Paul, who are representative of the many dedicated founding members of the society. Congratulations Sharmaine!

The Sons of the American Revolution will be in Cudahy twice in the coming weeks. The first time is May 30th at 10:00am to present a "Liberty Tree" to Cudahy and the Historical Society at the Historic Railroad Depot. The second appearance will be an informative historical presentation about the American Revolution at the Cudahy Family Library on Tuesday, June 16th at 6:30pm.
