Today we’re featuring a true piece of Ford history — a 1942 Ford GPW Army Jeep.

This isn’t just any WWII Jeep. It’s a real Ford-built military Jeep made for the U.S. Army during World War II, complete with those famous little Ford “F” script markings found on many of the parts.

Simple, rugged, and built for war, the Ford GPW helped prove what a 4x4 could do — and it remains one of the coolest military vehicles Ford ever built.
