The Siskiyou Arts Museum strives to enrich the lives of artists, residents and visitors to Siskiyou County through exhibition, sale and interpretation of the visual, literary and performing arts by presenting programs and events that will educate, strengthen, serve and sustain our community.

The dogwood flowers are out of the kiln and ready for the Dogwood Daze treasure hunt Saturday at 10AM. Thank you Cynthia for making these! Find the gold flower out there on the hunt and win the grand prize!

Be sure and get your tickets now for the Friday night awards gala (seating is limited!). Dinner by Liza, music by the Roma Trio and Kevin and Tom, and a wonderful evening celebrating some of the great citizens of Dunsmuir.

Lots going on this weekend for Dogwood Daze (see the schedule below)! What a great way to celebrate our community!

Siskiyou Arts Museum will be open. Check out the new show by Belinda Hanson and Carol Jenkins that opened earlier this month, and the last day for the Mount Shasta High School show! New show opens on the 9th! More on that later!

The Barbara Cross Gallery at SAM is full of treaures for the month of February that you can get for a steal. It’s 50% off already marked down prices! The deals are so incredible, you just have to come take a look. How about a water color for $40? One as low as $15? A Stan Sours ceramic bottle for $12.50? A collectible glass flower arrangement for $25? And the deals go on. I’ve already got my eyes on a few things, but I’m giving you all first dibs… Talk about a chance to buy new art for yourself, and as gifts! SAM is open Wednesday through Sunday 12-4.

SAM’s gift shop will reopen this Wednesday, February 4th, 12-4pm, followed by two new gallery shows February 14th! The team is completing the reset of the shop after repairs and inventory right now.

SAM is closed this month, but we’re not taking the month off by any means! The gift shop has been emptied for inventory and restaging, repairs are being made to water damaged ceilings now that our roof is replaced, and, get this, our building fundraiser met our goal and WE PAID OFF OUR BUILDING IN FULL! Our goal was to borrow $50,000 (Thank you again, Peter!) so we could afford the urgent roof repairs, but pay it off by the end of the year. Our community came through! Thank you!
