📚☀️ Looking for a fun way to keep your child reading this summer? The Ennis Public Library is getting ready for its 2026 Kids Summer Reading Program for children ages 6–12! This year’s theme, “Unearth a Story,” is packed with reading, prizes, games, missions, and weekly summer events. Everyone is welcome to participate! 🦁 Check out the information below for more details.

We encourage our outgoing and incoming Alamo Middle School students to continue reading all summer long and take advantage of this wonderful community program! 💜📖

Beginning May 26th - FREE Summer Meals for Kids. Available at multiple Ennis locations!

✔ No cost for those 18 and younger
✔ Enrolled students with disabilities up to age 21 also qualify
✔ Meals served Monday–Thursday
✔ Meals must be consumed on site

🦁🎉 The Big Roar 2026! 🎉🦁

Today, Alamo Middle School celebrated the end of another incredible year with our annual Big Roar celebration!

It was a day filled with games, snacks, friendly competition, laughter, and loads of FUN! 💜 From students to staff, everyone enjoyed the opportunity to relax, make memories, and simply enjoy each other’s company as we wrapped up the school year together.

Moments like these remind us that Alamo is more than a school—it’s a family. 🦁✨

📚🎉 Celebrating Our Readers at AMS! 🎉📚

Students enjoyed their final A.R. Party of the year this week! Students who achieved an 80% quiz average and reached 80% of their individualized points goal earned time to relax, play, and celebrate in the Lion’s Den. They also enjoyed a special treat with drinks and candy. 🦁💜

Our Points Club members celebrated together during lunch:
✨ 25 Points – drink
✨ 50 Points – drink & candy
✨ 100 Points – drink, candy & pizza 🍕

A huge congratulations to Mason Hughes, who earned more than 300 A.R. points this year and received a special $10 reward for this incredible accomplishment! 👏📖

None of these celebrations would be possible without the support of our amazing Alamo Middle School PTO. We are so thankful for their generosity and dedication to encouraging literacy and rewarding students for the time and effort they put into reading. 💜
