Tomorrow we will have a raffle and silent auction area set up at the old pickin' porch at the village. Thanks to everyone who donated items and a special thanks to our musicians and volunteers. There will be a great choice of food items available for purchase. Thank you for sharing this post!

Other items for raffle for this Saturday at Whippoorwill Academy and Village are: a gorgeous framed pastel by Betty Powell; large hand built pottery piece made by Teresa Icenhour; beautiful pottery piece by Julie Latos; several pottery pieces by Patricia Broffel; a framed pastel by the late Toni Indicott. More items are arriving today. Remember that we cannot accept pieces brought in on Saturday as we will be too busy to print out item info. and find a container to hold the raffle tickets.
All items will be found at the original pickin' porch near where the food will be sold.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, May 16th at 11:00 a.m.
Participating in this celebration of Steve Mathews will be one of the better things you will do in a long time!

Some of the finest musical talent in western NC will be performing this Saturday, May 11th at Whippoorwill Academy and Village to raise money to help Steve Mathews after he suffered multiple amputations due to a virus. The event begins at 11:00 and ends at 5:00. This is a non-ticket event---donations appreciated. Food will be available for purchase. Some fantastic raffle items will also be available. Location: 11928 Hwy. 268 W., Ferguson, NC Bring a chair, some sunscreen and enjoy the day as we all do something wonderful for this young man.

If you are planning on donating an item or service for the raffle on Saturday, May 16th, please bring it to the village on Friday any time between 12 and 3:00. It will be impossible to get your items with the needed ticket container and info on the day of the event. We will be too busy. Thank you for your help and consideration!

Whippoorwill is holding a raffle of various items (more to be listed)for the fundraiser for Steve Mathews. Tickets are $5.00 a ticket or 6 tickets for $25.00. We use Venmo at the village and every dollar will go toward this fundraiser. Thanks to those who have donated the following items. The drawing for all raffle items will be held at the end of the concert on May 16th. Another raffle is a chef's meal prepared for 6 that includes an appetizer, entree with sides; dessert, homemade bread and tea. You can purchase through Venmo or send a check to Whippoorwill Academy and Village, PO Box 458, Ferguson, NC 28624 Let us know what item/s you want for your raffle tickets. The new pickin' porch will be used for the first time on May 16th at 11:00 a.m. with a day of concerts to celebrate the life of Rev. Steve Matthews. No tickets. Donations appreciated. Bring a chair, buy some food and raffle tickets. All proceeds go to the Mathews family.
