The Historical Society will hold its next meeting next Monday, May 4th.

Ralph Bass will present the program - "The Clark Family, Holly Grove Church, and a house in Miami" (that's Clark without an "e").

Looking ahead-
The Culloden Exhibit will be updated this Summer to reopen in August to include Culloden History from 1900 to Present.
There has been some interest shown in having a Culloden Cemetery Tour later this year. If you are interested in helping with this project, please let us know.
The 250th USA Birthday will be held at the Conley Bldg. on Flag Day, June 14. The events, presented by the DAR, will include demonstrations on the Colonial Way of Life, reenactments including musket and cannon firing, games, and refreshments. More information will be forthcoming.
Reminders-
There are still plenty of church pews on the porch that are yours for the taking.
If anyone has a computer desk they would like to donate to the Society, please let us know. We are setting up a computer in the Museum that will enable us to digitize and organize our records for better accessibility for use by the public.
SPECIAL NOTE- We need your help. If you have any skills in the area of keeping minutes, we need a recording secretary to keep minutes for our meetings for the next year. Please contact me if you think you would be interested.

Thank You,
Nolen Howard
