Grantham Historical Society

Grantham Historical Society http://granthamhistoricalsociety.org/about-ghs/ The Grantham Historical Society was established in 1992 by a small group of Grantham residents.

Its mission: a nonprofit organization that will collect and preserve Grantham's history and to generate interest in the town. In 1995, the Selectmen formally established the Grantham Town Archives and appointed a town archivist. Together, these two town resources have assumed responsibility for gathering and preserving Grantham's past. The archives are open every Friday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m.

at the old Town Office building on Dunbar Hill Road. Visitors are welcome; no appointment is necessary.

Just a reminder! Hope to see you all!

Grantham Historical Society's town history, "Hill & Hollow, A History of Grantham, New Hampshire" is hot off the presses! This 256-page paperback covers this history of our town from earliest settlement right up through the present day! Great stories about the timber industry, important local farms and the arrival of Interstate 89, which brought us the Eastman neighborhood and several others!

They're available for purchase by contacting Ken Story through his personal email, [email protected]. Happy to meet you or will deliver! And, as of noon tomorrow, they'll be available for purchase at Rum Brook Market right here in Grantham! Mike and his terrific staff will have them on display as of tomorrow afternoon!

The price is $25 per book, with all funds benefitting the Grantham Historical Society. As always, thank you for your support and for being a part of this.
