Join us for a special treat on June 6th at 4:30

We are honored to host the Wong’s Lion Dance group from Chicago’s Chinatown as they dance through the gallery, bringing blessings of strength & prosperity to our community.

We will be enjoying lemonade and fortune cookies. Fun for the whole family! Check out the upcoming show while you’re here; Circling the Square featuring art from Clifford Peterson, Sarah Morrison and McKinley Wells.

I know I said last year was the last outsider show! I just want to say this was not a bait and switch! I truly believed that I was thru because of my health. Then mt called me , I went to see the program and more importantly the people and their art.
One look and I was convinced. Someone once told me “there but for the grace of god” now I am not religious, but those words stayed with me and come .
to me often.. I am a product of parents who had no higher education and lived thru the depression.. we lived frugally and moved often due to my father’s job. We only rented houses and as a little girl my dream was to own a house. I remember as a child going to look at a house that was for sale and trying to talk my mother into it. But my dad was transferred the next week..
However, I was never homeless. My father and mother always worked and provided and believed in higher education and saved and made sure that if i wanted to go to college they would help me..I worked as soon as I could . I started to babysit when I was twelve and then got a job at a store when I was old enough and still babysat at night.
Now this whole monologue is not about me. I am only saying there but for the grace of god and for some reason these people are homeless. The reasons are too varied to go over them, but no matter the reasons, what can we do to help?
we are spending billions of dollars killing people. What if we spent just a portion of that money on helping our disenfranchised? well, that does not seem to be in the cards so I found that this is the way I can help and in order to help,I need your support. .join us at the gallery May 2, 5pm for the first meeting of volunteers for the OUTSIDER SHOW.. Thanking you in advance for your participation,JR
