During the group show In Good Company, Megan Randall left us with a simple message: Come Back Later. What appeared to be a stage curtain was actually a teaser for Glorybox, her stained glass work now on view in Unboxed: Beyond the Binary II. This reel captures the transformation from promise to reveal, showing how a work can shift meaning across exhibitions and invite viewers into an ongoing conversation.

Check out these juicy artworks by Dezzara in our group show, Unboxed: Beyond the Binary II showing through July 2nd! Dezzara's I Think My Fruits Gone Bad? series reimagines everyday fruit through a surreal lens, replacing each seed with a tiny eye that seems to follow you around the room. What makes this piece even more special is the frame: handmade and hand painted by the artist, transforming the artwork into a complete sculptural object rather than simply a painting on the wall.

What an incredible opening for our second annual Unboxed: Beyond the Binary! Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate pride month and support this powerful exhibition featuring LGBTQ+ artists from our community.

We’re deeply grateful to our exhibiting artists for sharing their work, stories, and perspectives with us. Your vulnerability, creativity, and vision are what make this exhibition so meaningful 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️✨

If you haven’t had a chance to visit yet, Unboxed: Beyond the Binary will be on view through July 2nd. We invite you to spend time with this thoughtful and inspiring collection of work that explores identity, self expression, belonging, and the many experiences that exist beyond the binary.

This week we’re painting over our In Good Company banner as we prepare for our second annual Pride group show, Unboxed: Beyond the Binary II 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Thank you to everyone who visited and supported In Good Company. We’re excited to welcome a new exhibition celebrating identity, self-expression, and community.

BLOC Gallery is closed this week for installation and will reopen June 6 with Unboxed: Beyond the Binary II, on view through July 2.

As In Good Company comes to a close, we want to thank the artists, collectors, friends, and visitors who made this exhibition such a success. Being the first show in BLOC Gallery’s new location made it all the more special, and we’re grateful to everyone who helped us begin this new chapter in such good company 🤍🌟

The gallery will be closed next week as we prepare for our next exhibition, Unboxed: Beyond the Binary. Join us for the opening reception on June 6th, and experience the exhibition on view through July 2nd. Thank you for your continued support, we look forward to seeing you soon.

BLOC Holiday News, Events & Highlights 🎄✨

As the year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to say thank you for being part of the BLOC Foundation community. Your continued support, creativity, and generosity allow us to keep building meaningful experiences and giving back in impactful ways. Keep reading for a few holiday updates we’re excited to share with you!

Together, we made a meaningful impact through our Houston Food Bank fundraiser! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our Houston Food Bank fundraiser we held in November! Every dollar donated equals 3 meals, and together we raised $351, providing 1,053 meals to families in our community. I’m incredibly proud of what we accomplished together and grateful for every person who donated, shared, or cheered us on. 🍏💚

We also recently hosted a private team building resin workshop with our friends over at IREM, and it was such a wonderful experience! Seeing creativity spark connection outside of the workplace is always inspiring. I wanted to share a few testimonials and photos from the event.
