Summer is the perfect time for a new adventure! 🌟

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming the 2026 interns from Lime Rock Resources to the Ocean Star Museum & Education Center for a guided tour.

For interns and young professionals, experiences like these help bridge the gap between the university classroom and the workplace, providing real-world context for the technologies, careers, and history that continues to shape the energy industry.

Whether you're planning a family outing, looking for a rainy-day activity, or organizing a corporate visit with your team, the Ocean Star Museum offers an engaging way to explore the world of energy aboard a retired jack-up drilling rig.

All you need is a paper towel roll, some string, wooden dowels, straws, tape, cardboard, and post-it notes! 
 
STEM activities like this at home with students over the summer is an engaging way to encourage students to keep learning about energy and understand how energy professionals build systems that we use, everyday. ⚒️
