Megalodon jaws don't actually exist 🦈🀯

We find prehistoric megalodon teeth all the time, but complete jaws? Not so much. That's because shark jaws are made of cartilage, which rarely fossilizes. So the giant jaw you're seeing is actually a modern great white shark jaw scaled up to match what scientists think the ocean's most famous super-predator looked like!

The Buzz Magazines recently shared their experience of our new Clickbait exhibit.

"A mom and her young son entered the exhibit not long after us, and I noticed her thoroughly explaining each section to him. She shared with us that she has not yet allowed her son to access social media, but that she has been trying to find fun and informative ways to slowly introduce him to the digital world. It has become so normalized for kids to have easy access to devices and the internet. It was comforting to see that there are parents going above and beyond to educate their kids about the online world before allowing them to enter it. CLICKBAIT is designed for ages 8 and up, and after experiencing the exhibit, I believe that it is especially impactful for younger audiences who are less familiar with the digital world than adults."

Sir, please stop pumping quarters into the telescope πŸ•ΉπŸ”

This Auxiliary Telescope at the Paranal Observatory in Chile's Atacama Desert has a clamshell design that likens it to a certain 1980s icon. 🟑

The Houston Astros invited the HMNS team out for "Science Day 2026" at Daikin Park, and it was an absolute grand slam. πŸ’«
