During this FREE community event, learn all about big trucks and even sit in the truck cabs! A school bus, fire trucks, all types of utility trucks, and many more vehicles will be visiting the Museum for the day. When you complete your BIG truck tour, try your hand at the prize-punch game and meet Otto, the incredible, talking robot car who has a lot to say about safety!

On , we would like to remind our visitors that the FASNY Museum of Firefighting is committed to making the Museum accessible for everyone. The building's exterior features accessible parking and doorways, while the interior is equipped with ramps, accessible restrooms with changing tables, and seating throughout the galleries.

When you plan your visit through the Museum website, you may tap on the accessibility icon (located in the bottom-left corner of your screen) to make adjustments to text size and color, reduce motion, use a screen reader, and more!

Jamie Smith Quinn, FASNY Museum of Firefighting Executive Director (center) and Molly the Museum Dog were thrilled to receive yet another generous donation from The Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE). Representing the FOE are Shane Strong (L) and Heather Strong (R). These two wonderful people are truly friends of the Museum… and friends of Molly, and we thank them so very much for their support and the support of the FOE!

Join us on June 6, 2026, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm for a FREE event: BIG Truck Day! 🚒

Do you love BIG trucks like we do? Then this is the event for you! Learn all about big trucks and even sit in the truck cabs! Fire trucks, all types of utility trucks, a school bus, and many more vehicles will be visiting the Museum for the day, so come check out all the BIG truck action! When you complete your BIG truck tour, try your hand at the prize punch game and enjoy exploring the Museum!

All activities are FREE and will be outdoors (tents will be used in the event of rain). Free admission to the Museum will also be offered to all who attend this special event. Reservations are not required for this event. Keep on truckin’ to the Museum for this special event! 🚚

The FASNY (The Firefighters Association of the State of New York) Museum of Firefighting is located at 117 Harry Howard Avenue, Hudson, NY, 12534, and is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 am until 4:30 pm.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our very first Maker May Balloon Blowout event 🎈✨

We loved seeing everyone’s creativity shine in their balloon crafting projects, especially the fun hats and accessories. It was also great to witness everyone working together while playing Hungry, Hungry Hippos—just like how firefighters collaborate as a team! And we appreciated the friendly competition during the Floating Frenzy game. The excitement and joy in the room were truly contagious, and we hope everyone had a BLAST!

We are excited to announce that the FASNY Museum of Firefighting was featured in the latest episode of BTPM PBS' series, "Rolling Thru!" 🚲

Museum Educator Kathy Slade, along with Molly the Museum Dog, sat down with host Pat Kelly to discuss volunteer firefighting in New York State, the effects of wildfires, and the efforts by both Kathy and the Museum to educate the public about these important topics.

Pat rides to Hudson, exploring food justice, wildfire risk, and climate migration.

The Museum is bursting at the seams with balloons as we prepare for tomorrow's Maker May Balloon Blowout event! 🎈✨

The Museum team has been busy blowing up balloons in all sorts of fun shapes and sizes for our very first Maker May! We’re so excited to invite you to this FREE family-friendly event starting tomorrow at 10:30 am.
