It is the Mission of the century-old Cape Girardeau County Historical Society to document the stories of yesterday, today, and tomorrow in the county. Therefore, we are eager to celebrate Judge Gary Kamp, the Society's Board President, who today received the prestigious Bill Emerson Public Service Award "for Leadership and Outstanding, Exceptional Performance in Public Service." The beautiful award, featuring the Lincoln Memorial was presented along with a Missouri House of Representatives Resolution.

This is our Giving Tree. There are tags on the tree you can take home with you and bring the items listed back to the History Center to help us with needed cleaning and office supplies. It is a way you can help us fulfill the mission of your 100 Year Old Historical Society. Our Rhonda Cole decorates the tree for each season.
