Thank you to the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation for selecting us as a 2026 awardee, providing crucial support for for critical HVAC upgrades that will improve energy efficiency and strengthen the long-term preservation of our fashion and textile collections.

In collaboration with Environment & Culture Partners , this initiative is the first grantmaking program of its kind that catalyzes energy efficiency at visual arts organizations.

🏀As the NBA season comes to an exciting close, it’s important to recognize all the people that make a winning team happen! LeRoy Neiman paid attention to them all: especially the coaches.

🧑‍🎨As the KSU Museum’s “LeRoy Neiman: A Keen Observer of Style,” exhibition comes to a close, 🚨only open through June 28th, 2026 🚨, it’s time to highlight another piece you can come see today!

🏅LeRoy Neiman is often regarded as the “Father of Sports Art,” with his dynamic compositions capturing every motion in the split second he focuses on. He is well known for basketball pieces focused on the center of action. Here, he takes our attention courtside. He highlights the coach, creating a radiating energy through his crouched form—ready to spring up at any minute. He reminds us to recognize all there is around us, not just what pulls our attention first. Come see it in person today at the KSU Museum!

🇫🇷Are you studying French? LeRoy Neiman might be able to help!

🎨We’re back highlighting another piece on view in KSU Museum’s “LeRoy Neiman: A Keen Observer of Style!” 🚨This exhibition is in its last month, only open through June 28th, so plan your trip today! 🚨

🎩Today we are looking at the piece “Diagrammed French Man,” where Neiman sketches in ink a properly dressed French man, complete with labels in French. In the early 1960s, Neiman rented a studio in Paris where he drew inspiration from his environment, studying specifically the Deauville social season which included horseraces, polo, and film festivals filled with marvelously dressed individuals.

📰This piece systematically breaks down “L’habit” or the garment, showing Neiman’s attention to detail that leads him to so brilliantly capture people and scenes later in his career as a “reporter type of painter.”
