Please join us on WEDNESDAY, MAY 20TH (please note this will not be one of our usual Friday openings) from 5-7pm for the opening of our annual showcase of student work, the All-Campus Juried Student Exhibition. The show was juried this year by artist and curator of .katherine . This will be our last exhibition of the 2025-26 academic year. The show runs until June 12. Please come out and support these emerging student artists.

Meet this year’s juror for the Nightingale Gallery All-Campus Juried Student Exhibition: Katherine Shaughnessy!

An artist, curator, and Co-Founder of The Common Well in Garden City, Idaho, Shaughnessy brings a multidisciplinary approach to her work, exploring the intersection of the natural world and human impact through painting, sculpture, textiles, installation, and more.

Before serving as juror for this year’s student exhibition, Shaughnessy will present a free public talk on her curatorial and studio practices:

Thursday, May 14
6 p.m.
Huber Auditorium, Badgley Hall

Then join us on Wednesday, May 20, for the opening reception of the All-Campus Juried Student Exhibition from 5–7 p.m. in the Nightingale Gallery, with student awards announced at 5:30 p.m.

Please be sure to join us this Thursday evening (5/14) for an artist talk by Katherine Shaughnessy. The talk takes place at 6pm in Huber Auditorium, Badgley Hall. The talk is free, and all are encouraged to attend.

Katherine's artistic practice is rooted in her examination of the natural world and its awkward intersection with human demands and desires. For more info on Katherine, follow the link in our bio.

Hey EOU students, it's that time of year again. Time to get your work ready to submit to the annual All-Campus Juried Student Exhibition. Submissions will be accepted next week on the days and times listed on the above image. Submit work at the gallery in Loso Hall. You may enter up to 5 artworks for a fee of $10 (the fees go toward funding awards). All currently enrolled students may submit work. 2D work need not be framed (but it is appreciated). Our juror this year is artist and curator Katherine Shaughnessy. See our earlier post for more info on Katherine.

Please join us next Thursday, May 14th, in welcoming to campus artist and curator Katherine Shaughnessy. Katherine will be on campus to jury our annual student exhibition, do crits with art majors, and give a public talk about her studio practice and curatorial work. Katherine is the co-founder and curator of and as an artist, Katherine's work is rooted in the examination of the natural world and its awkward intersection with human demands and desires.

Katherine's talk will be at 6pm on May 14th in Huber Auditorium, Badgley Hall. The talk is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.

The second and third slides feature her most recent installation, "Don't Fence Me In," a mixed media installation she premiered last month.
