Peekaboo Gallery is the premier source for truly vintage Tiki collectables and art. We’re actively looking to fill our Fall auction. If you have significant vintage Tiki and Polynesian Pop items to sell, now is the time to get in contact with us before the next sale fills up.

We’re looking for significant TIKI MUGS, BLACK VELVET ART, POLYNESIAN LIGHTING, WITCO, CARVINGS, RARE PAPER & EPHEMERA, COMMERCIAL SERVING and GLASSWARE, TRADER VIC’S, OCEANIC ARTS, STEVE CRANE, DON the BEACHCOMBER, POLYNESIAN APARTMENT and HOTEL COLLECTABLES, NAUTICAL ANTIQUES and MORE!

As we leave Fabulous Las Vegas from this whirlwind auction tour, we had to visit the man, the myth, Mr Las Vegas, WAYNE NEWTON at The Flamingo Casino. His “Up Close and Personal” show is just that! Wonderful! We HIGHLY encourage you to see this show!

As a thank you to you all, we’d like to share this Hawaiian gem by 84-year old Wayne on the slide guitar….

We are not automatically issuing certificates of authenticity, so if you want the issued, please contact the gallery through email or when you respond to your invoice.

All invoices will be automatically charged to your card of choice tomorrow. If you want to arrange an alternate form of payment, PLEASE CONTACT [email protected] TODAY to arrange that.

PICK-UP APPOINTMENTS and SHIPPING WILL BEGIN SHORTLY. Again, contact the gallery to notify them of PICK-UP if you’d like to save money and pick up your items in Pasadena, CA at our storage facility. SHIPPING ORDERS, please be patient as that process will happen over the next few weeks. Once we determine your order make up, we can figure out the best way to ship them to you. Be that through a third party shipper or through the gallery direct. Just know, it will happen even if you haven’t heard from us right away. We thank you in advance for your patience as we gather the hundreds of items into their individual orders.

We all had a BLAST at THE GOLDEN TIKI and we hope you did too! The auction was crazy with lots of bidding action. There were a lot of surprises with some items with competitive bidding and lots of sleepers! We’ve already received lots of feedback with happy bidders all around. We certainly hope you walked away with something you like.

Whether bidding IN-PERSON at the GOLDEN TIKI in Las Vegas, Nevada or ONLINE through iCollector or our Peekaboo Gallery Auction Phone App, this will be one for the books!

AUCTION REGISTRATION

Register on icollector for BOTH online and Live Auction Floor bidding. PLEASE DO SO TODAY. Waiting to the last minute to register could affect your ability to bid.

LIVE AUCTION FLOOR:

AT THE GOLDEN TIKI, registration begins at 9am at the entrance to the venue. Seating on the auction floor begins at 10am.

PLEASE PRE-REGISTER ONLINE before you come to Golden Tiki. Seating is first come first serve but usually, things shift all day long. Cocktail service and food may be ordered from the auction floor and standing room in the bar room. Again, seating is limited. You can still follow and bid online on the Peekaboo Gallery app.

LOT #608 - EXQUISITELY CARVED ED CRISSMAN OA MAORI TIKI COLUMN POST FROM “YUE’S LAHANI ALOHA”

(1960s) A true stunner of tiki! This large figural column post was an architectural element made for Yue’s LAHANI ALOHA in Redondo Beach, CA. This was Helen and Cheeda Yue’s expansion project at the beach. Carved by Ed Crissman for OCEANIC ARTS with powerfully graphic detail. A central Maori warrior tiki dominates the column and it features shell inlay eyes. The piece features its original paint scheme with excellent vintage patina. A most impressive carving at almost 10 feet in height. *Special shipping considerations. *BOOZE CAVE COLLECTION. VG+ with typical wear. 118”x12”x11”
