“SOS” can be used in Morse Code as a distress signal and originally was the acronym for “Save Our Souls”.

Here we have a museum visitor who just so happens to be an Army Veteran, demonstrating the SOS signal on our telegraph switch!

From his recollection, the morse code for SOS is 3 dots, 3 dashes, 3 dots.
