Please join in for the 5th annual Jell-O Toddler Photo Contest!

Snap a photo of your toddler tasting Jell-O for the first time (or nearly first time) and write their name along with your contact information on the back of the photo (name, address, and phone number)

Submissions are due by July 15th, and please mail them to us at:

The photos will be displayed in the LeRoy Historical Society tent during LeRoy’s Oatka Festival – July 18th + 19th - for people to cast their votes! Voting ends on July 19th at 3 pm

The winner will be announced at the end of the festival. The winner will receive a gift basket loaded with goodies from the Jell-O Museum Gift Shop. The winner does not need to be present.

LeRoy Historical Society board member and Ingham art collector, John Sherman, did an awesome job presenting on 1878 Ingham graduate, Heppie En Earl Wicks!

Join us on June 21st at 2 pm in the Historic LeRoy House! Come learn about the 1878 Ingham University art graduate, Heppie En Earl Wicks, and part of our 2026 program series, “The Artists of Ingham University: Faculty and Students.” This presentation will be by LeRoy Historical Society Board Member, John Sherman.

While most associate grey tones with a sorrowful tenor, Heppie Wicks evokes pure tranquility in her coastal landscape of Greenport, Long Island. Cloudy skies and calm, reflective waters are rendered in smoky watercolor hues that turn a mundane day into a relaxing, soulful experience. The focal points are afloat in the midground: a large sailboat and a small fisherman’s boat, both bold in contrast to the serene, turbid waters. As it is evident here, Wicks has an artistic gift of transforming everyday natural scenes into something more… Art analysis by Emma Tower

Our exhibit to celebrate America's 250th, "Remembering the American Revolution," is open in the Historic LeRoy House!

This portrait of George Washington hangs in the exhibit to explain Washington's connection to how we remember the American Revolution and how he is the most recognizable figure in American history!

The portrait was done by 1878 Ingham University graduate Frank Eastman Jones. This portrait was done as a preliminary piece for a final version that Jones did with Washington in his General's uniform.

Come learn about the 1878 Ingham University art graduate, Heppie En Earl Wicks! This will be the second installment of our 2026 program series, "The Artists of Ingham University: Faculty and Students."

This amazing watercolor of apples is one of our favorite pieces by Heppie! Please join us on June 21st at 2 pm inside the Historic LeRoy House! This program will be presented by LeRoy Historical Society board member, John Sherman!
