Spanning four continents and five countries, we are proud to announce the artists to be included in Priority: International Juried Exhibition.

In a time marked by political division, closed borders, and rising cultural nationalism, Priority: International Juried Exhibition recognizes the quiet power of flat artworks to cross boundaries: physical, political, and conceptual. Whether traveling across oceans or arriving from the studio down the street, each submission becomes a gesture of connection and exchange.
This exhibition embraces the democratic nature of mailed and two-dimensional work to form a unified global conversation. In that spirit, packaging and postal traces may remain visible as intentional elements of the installation.
Curated by acclaimed curator and writer Leslie Moody Castro, Priority opens October 3, 2025, during Lubbock’s First Friday Art Trail at Charles Adams Gallery in Lubbock, Texas. At its heart, this exhibition affirms that making space for international partnerships is not only timely, but a priority; this is how we learn, grow, and continue to make meaningful connections in the world.

Paintings by Wade Elliot of Clovis, NM. Wade has frequented the gallery for nearly a decade, often showing Charles his drawings. Charles encouraged Wade to pick up a paintbrush and these paintings among many others are the result.
Wade called this exhibit, If This Outlaw Could Buck. The paintings represent his lived experiences in the southwest, and his process of discovery in oil painting as a medium. Wade is a self-taught painter, an outsider, whose talent is obvious. Come see these paintings!
