Manistee Discovery Cove is looking for someone who would be interested in building a Trinket Trading Setup to put outside our museum. We’d love a fun, sturdy little setup where kids can leave a trinket and take a trinket, creating a community treasure hunt experience.

If you’re handy with woodworking, enjoy community projects, or know someone who does, we’d love to hear from you! Donations of materials or labor are greatly appreciated.

Stop in for hands-on play, imagination, building, exploring, and a chance for kids to burn off some energy before heading out for the rest of the day. We’re conveniently located at 303 First Street, just a short drive from downtown and the waterfront.

We’re looking for a friendly volunteer who knows how to crochet or knit to help lead a relaxed, beginner-friendly craft time at Manistee Discovery Cove.

Good news! Friday night playtime is starting June 5 from 4pm–8pm.

Dani will be here during that time. She’s currently a long-term sub at Manistee Elementary and working toward her teaching degree.

She’s excited to meet everyone and be part of Friday nights at the museum.
