The 35th North AR Ancestor Fair has successfully concluded. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all individuals who contributed to making this milestone year a resounding success. Friday’s event, featuring five distinguished speakers, drew a substantial audience at the Searcy County Library, with presentations by Mr. James Johnston, Randy and Melissa Smyth, Sherry Southerland, and a closing oral history by Jo Watts, followed by a mixer dinner at the Mexican Restaurant. The final event, the History and Genealogy Swap, took place at the Veterans Hall. We express our sincere appreciation to all attendees, whose presence made the event truly memorable. Plans for next year’s fair are currently underway.

Before and after, this historic county seat sign, nearing 100 years old, has finally reached the final stages of a work in progress.
