Summer Adventure Camp season is in full swing!

Gleeful excitement could be heard coming from inside The Harvest Foundation Hall of Ancient Life this afternoon as 17 curious, young explorers investigated the gallery as part of a scavenger hunt activity led by museum educator Jordan Brim!

While all camps for ages 6-8 are now full, we still have spaces (and scholarships for those who qualify) available for our upcoming camps for children ages 9-11. Follow the link below to learn more and register today!

VMNH Associate Curator of Paleontology Dr. Adam Pritchard recently co-authored a paper published in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology describing a new shuvosaurid species, Labrujasuchus expectatus!

To celebrate the achievement, we've rebooted "Tales of Ancient Life", where he highlights the discovery and shares some interesting tidbits about the newly described species!

Want to read the paper? You can now access it online at www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/02724634.2026.2618182.

OOPS!! The museum's public access elevator decided to go on vacation for Memorial Day Weekend and didn't decide to tell anyone until this afternoon!

We apologize for this inconvenience, but the public access stairwell will be the only way for visitors to get to the museum's 2nd floor and basement until early next week.

We will follow-up with repair updates as they become available.

Have a great weekend, everyone!
