​​​​​​EDNA is a mixed media artist who loves experimenting with different mediums. She begins most paintings without a fixed destination, letting materials and discovery guide the work. She tries new methods and materials each time to learn how they enhance a painting. Abstract pieces are her laboratory, and what she has learned their strengthens her semi realistic work. In this watercolor series, she has been translating techniques from acrylic into watercolor, and that shift has changed how she sees watercolor. Acrylic methods have taught her new ways to build texture, layer, color, and think about negative space, and those lessons have reshaped her watercolor approach. That is why this series has been especially fun to paint.

​​​Ed Bellinger’s latest ceramic exploration turns to wall-mounted works, showcasing new glazing techniques in his exhibition, Infrastructure. The series features groups of small ceramic tiles that together create a visual narrative, weaving together elements of nature and the built environment. Long fascinated by the quiet coexistence of these worlds, Ed highlights the wires, cables, and roads that shape our daily lives alongside the trees, birds, and open sky that bring balance and beauty to the landscape.

Working with glazes thinned to the fluidity of watercolor, Ed captures the subtle palette of infrastructure, revealing unexpected color and depth within the structures that surround us.

​​​​​One Place is a collection of recent paintings by Amy Darrah. Drawing on scenes from daily life in the Bay Area, each painting is a moment in time as interpreted through the abstracting qualities of geometric shape, color and memory. These images are a meditation on seeing one place at a time.
