Our local music historian Dr. Michael G. Garber regaled us with stories of the Black Women Songwriters of the Jazz Decades and their contributions to the Great American Songbook. The audience was honored with a taste of this music with the performances of Tammy Brown (vocals), Joe Tranchina (piano), and Hilliard Green (bass)! A lovely afternoon held in honor Women’s History Month and International Black Women in Jazz and the Arts Month.
