Good Afternoon,
We hope you are all doing well and hope you are enjoying the warmer weather. The West Franklin Historical District and Silkwood Inn Museum are reaching out in regards to our upcoming Annual Memorial Weekend BBQ Fundraiser.
Our Annual Memorial Weekend BBQ is next Saturday, May 23rd and Sunday, May 24th from 11:00 to 2:00. This is our final week for pre-sales for ribs. Sides are $25.00 with pick up on Saturday between 11:00 and 2:00 (see flyer for contact information). On Saturday and Sunday our volunteers will be serving pulled pork or pulled chicken sandwiches, backed beans, potato salad, dessert, and drinks. Our menu includes:
Plate Lunches: sandwich or hotdog (x2), potato salad, baked beans, dessert and drink for a $13.00 donation.
Mini Plate Lunch: sandwich, chips, dessert & drink or a hotdog (x2), chips, dessert & drink for an $11.00 donation
Child's Plate: hotdog, chips, dessert, & drink for a $7.00 donation
This fundraiser is one of our biggest fundraisers for the year and will be held at the Historical District facility located at 2130 Schoolhouse Road in Mulkeytown (old Mulkeytown Grade School). The annual event has been going on since Bob Hoey and volunteers started working at the Historical District in 1995. We hope you are able to attend and maybe share our event information with family, friends, co-workers, and on social media. We have our event posted on our West Franklin Historical District and Silkwood Inn Museum page, please feel free to share. We have attached our flyer reflecting the fundraiser information.
This District will also be raffling off donated items with proceeds going towards our roofing fund for the Historical District. Drawings will be at 1:30 on Sunday afternoon. All lunch donations go towards the basic upkeep, utilities, and maintenance for the Historical District and Inn Museum.
