Our Story
The museum was designed by J. Cleaveland Cady, he was influenced by H. H. Richardson and was founded on April 6,1869 by Theodore Roosevelt along with John David Wolfe, William T. Blodgett, Robert L. Stuart, Andrew H. Green and many more. The museum located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York. The museum collections contain over 32 million specimens of plants, animals, fossils, minerals, rocks, meteorites, and human cultural artefacts every year.
