The 6th Annual Halloween Party and Pumpkin Walk was a big success. The weather cooperated and we welcomed a record number of families. Over 30 local organizations participated in passing out candy in the McKinley Museum. Volunteers served hot dogs, cookies, and cider outside, and the McKinley Library read spooky stories and passed out candy as well. It is an honor to be able to participate in wonderful community events like this!
Next up is the Halloween Parade! I’ll be passing out candy with the Niles Rotary 🙂

Are you ready for some football??? Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 13, 12:00-2:00. By popular demand, Vince Guerrieri will be returning to the National McKinley Birthplace Memorial Museum to talk about something that goes hand in hand with fall: FOOTBALL!
Join me, and let’s give Vince a warm welcome.
Here is a synopsis of his talk.
In 1890, the first high school football game was played in Ohio. Since then, it has become an essential part of fall in the Buckeye State. Vince Guerrieri talks about the great teams, the history making games, and the efforts through the decades to find an undisputed champion.
Reservations are not required, and seating is limited.
If you have any questions, please call Belinda Weiss, Director at The McKinley Memorial Museum at 330-652-4273

Don’t forget! Halloween Party and Pumpkin Walk is tomorrow, October 19 from 5:00-7:30. The pumpkins have been carved and are ready to be displayed in the courtyard. The tables are set up for the organizations that will be passing out treats to 400-500 kids (can we make it 600 this year???). This year I decided on a Frankenstein theme for the table covers (this is dedicated to my sis Adona Frye). There’s even an adorable Frankenstein monster singing “Monster Mash” at The McKinley Memorial Museum table.
See you there!
