Our restoration crew now has our F7U-3 Cutlass windscreens replaced.

Soon the fuselage will be removed from the restoration building.

Restoration of the rear of the aircraft has now started.

May 8th, 1945 - Victory in Europe Day.

Today is the 81st Anniversary of the day the N**i regime in Europe finely came to and end.

We salute those men and women who fought and died to see this victory.

Looking for a meaningful way to get involved at MAPS Air Museum? We’re currently recruiting volunteers for several important areas of the museum, and we’d love to welcome passionate, dependable people to the team.

We are specifically looking for:

Gift Shop Volunteers
Be the welcoming face of the museum! Gift Shop volunteers help greet guests, handle admissions, work the register, and assist visitors throughout their experience. These positions offer regularly scheduled, predictable shifts and are perfect for friendly, customer-service-minded volunteers.

Tour Guides
Do you love aviation history, military history, or storytelling? We’re looking for history buffs and engaging personalities to help lead tours through the museum and share the stories behind our aircraft and exhibits. Tour Guides also receive regularly scheduled, predictable shifts.

Event Volunteers
Help us bring museum events to life. We’re looking for volunteers to assist with event management, parking coordination, setup, guest assistance, and cleanup. Event volunteering is more dynamic and hands-on, with schedules that vary depending on events. Good physical condition is recommended for these roles.

Mechanics
We’re looking for experienced mechanics to help us maintain vehicles and equipment on a regular basis.

The MAPS Air Museum is proud to have just received the 2026 Zenith Award from the Akron Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the people who voted for us, in the category of "Can't Miss Experience".
