Caelum et Terram

Exploring the Union of Heaven and Earth Through the Physical Nature of the Photograph. Works by Molly Sheehan

In Caelum et Terram—Latin for Heaven and Earth—Molly Sheehan reclaims the photograph as a tactile, physical object. Her practice challenges the dominance of digital imagery by physically altering traditional prints: she removes sections of the photograph and fills the openings with other images, transforming the flat surface into a space for exploration and reflection.

That’s a wrap! Thank you to everyone who helped us have another year of the CAS!

We couldn’t do this without the Carnegie Art Center Board Members, many talented artists in Western New York, and especially the City of Tonawanda for allowing us to use beautiful Canal Street as our venue!
