Angels in Oilskins Festival Spotlight

Did you know that dogs have played a vital role in water rescues for centuries? Newfoundland dogs are famous for their incredible swimming ability, strength, and lifesaving instincts. For generations, they have worked alongside coast guards and lifeguards to rescue swimmers in distress.

We are excited to welcome Colonial Newfoundland Rescue to this year’s festival! They will be on site with two beautiful Newfoundland dogs to share the history, rescue work, and unique qualities of this remarkable breed.

Colonial Newfoundland Rescue is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization serving Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. Their mission is to rescue and find loving homes for these gentle giants.

Come meet these amazing dogs and learn more about their lifesaving legacy! Angels in Oilskins August 4th!
